Features of our Facility
Emergency Veterinary Services at Pender Cuts & Lacerations:

Pets can play hard and injure themselves. Professional wound cleaning, suturing if needed and proper treatment can prevent infections and put your pet on the mend, pain-free, in no time.

Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis (HGE):

HGE is a sudden-onset concern for dogs. Vomiting and bloody diarrhea are common and the cause can be toxins, viruses or bacterial. If left untreated, the condition can be deadly but most dogs respond well to prompt veterinary care and treatment.

Intestinal Obstructions:

Pets eat the strangest things, and they often hurt because of it! We offer on-site, immediate X-rays, ultrasounds or surgical intervention when needed.

Urinary Blockage in Cats:

Urinary blockages are common and potentially life-threatening conditions that require immediate attention for cats. Under anesthesia, veterinarians can flush the urethra and bladder, remove urinary crystals and stones and provide relief for your pet. The veterinarians may also advise nutritional support to help prevent the problem in the future.

Bloating:

Bloating is a common emergency for dogs and is the result of excess gas, fluid or foam in the stomach. Taking in too much air or having too much in the stomach can lead to this painful and potentially life-threatening condition. If you suspect bloat, please bring your pet in immediately. Our emergency centre is open 24/7.
