About Eastern Exotic Veterinary Center
While operated for years as part of Pender Veterinary Clinic, Eastern Exotic Veterinary Center was established in 1999 as a separate practice—expanding to occupy a complete hospital facility on Pender’s second floor. We are the regional choice for the sometimes unique, unusual and possibly unheard of pets that only a select few can call their own.
We provide the broadest spectrum of advanced care for reptiles, birds and small mammals. We use the latest in diagnostic capabilities for avian and exotic patients, such as ultrasonography and rigid and flexible video-endoscopy, and in therapeutic modalities, including laser surgery and radio surgery. Our doctors have years of experience performing soft tissue and orthopedic surgery and are eager to provide competent and compassionate care to our patients.
Even with all of these tools at our disposal and a top-notch, skilled staff, we are a practice that strongly believes in the power of preventative health care. Regular examination of your pet is always recommended to help it have a long life. Additionally, we offer nutrition products and dietary and husbandry consults to help you care for your pet.

Hours of Operation:
Effective January 7, appointments are available Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:00 am until 9:30 pm; Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm; and on Saturdays from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm. For dropping off and picking up pets, as well as purchasing supplies, our lobby is open from 7:00 am until 8:00 pm Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, our lobby is open from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm; and on Saturdays our lobby is open from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm.
