Kennel Manager

Kelly started at PAWS in October 2006 as our Kennel Manager. After living and working in Houston for seven years, she and her husband decided to make a change so they moved to beautiful Buda in September 2006. Looking to get out from behind a desk and do something more meaningful, she started searching local shelters for work and found that PAWS had the perfect position for her. Although she loves all animals, she still claims to be a dog person, as if we can't tell from the picture! Pictured with Kelly are her "kids" (from left to right) Darla Jean - Houston Humane Society Alumni, Dixie Jo - PAWS Shelter Alumni, Oliver Peanut - Houston Humane Society Alumni and Merlin Peter.

About PAWS
P.A.W.S. (Public for Animal Welfare Society, Inc.) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and shelter for animals, serving Hays and surrounding counties in central Texas. We are a no-kill Shelter; and our staff work hard to ensure that every animal we receive becomes part of a loving family.

Mission Statement
PAWS' mission is to care for, protect and find quality homes for abandoned and neglected animals; to aid in the reduction of pet overpopulation; and to provide community education for the mutual benefit of animals and people.

Vision Statement
PAWS envisions a time when our community celebrates the human-animal bond, the overpopulation problem is solved, permanent homes for animals are insured, and all animal suffering ends.

Tuesday - Friday: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Closed on Monday
