What would you do if your pet got lost or ran away?
Having a microchip in your pet increases the chance of reuniting you with your lost pet.
Ten million pets are lost every year. Without ID, 90% don't return home.
Over 94% of pets microchipped with HomeAgain have been reunited with their families.
The Toledo Animal Shelter is now an authorized HomeAgain provider to microchip animals leaving the Shelter with the new, high-tech tracking device. This tiny anti-migration microchip is totally safe and reliable. If your pet is lost, local agencies are alerted, along with all necessary medical information, to help locate your dog or cat. Your pet's medical information - vaccination and rabies protection - is also stored and available on-line.
This service is totally optional.
A small initial $15 fee is added to your adoption charges. The Toledo Animal Shelter will install the chip and register your pet with HomeAgain. This fee covers the first year of the service. Renewals are the responsibility of the owner.
