He breeds English Standard Labrador Retrievers of such extraordinary quality, not only in conformation and appearance, but in temperment, grace, and steadiness. Charlie and Sandy Petrizzo are proud to have acquired the precious Borador line, and endeavor to maintain it's high standards in their breeding practices as Carolyn Kennels.
He is one of only two breeders that the North Star Foundation calls upon to fill the need of Assistance dogs for children with disabilities such as autism, and emotional challenges.
His personal story, including recovery from two life altering accidents that left him temporarily paralyzed and permanently scarred from burns over two thirds of his body, is truly inspirational. These personal challenges have provided him a heartwarming insight into working closely with children and families to discover the healing benefits of animal supported therapy.
He has earned a bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University in New York, a diploma from The Animal Behavior College and is a candidate for an advanced diploma in canine fitness and nutrition from Cynology College.
Charlie is a dynamic and motivational speaker, and a prolific author. His determination is to provide canine assistance and therapy support to as many families as possible. He does this thru his volunteer work with the North Star Foundation, as well as individualized canine and family counseling sessions.
Charlie Petrizzo can not only provide the breeder/exhibitor with an excellent example of the Borador line, but thru his experience and education he can also provide the average "pet" family a well trained, extraordinary Labrador Retriever.
Pups 10-12 weeks old or fully trained and maturing pups of several months of age can be obtained. Limited breedings thruout the year, each recieving the specialized attention that Carolyn Kennels is proud to be known for.
