I have a 10 month old cat that was rescued when she was 2 weeks old. From the beginning it was obvious that there was a neuorological disorder. She was unsteady and fell down alot. She was diagnosed by 3 different vets as cerebeller hypoplasia all at different stages of development. I looked for another opinion since her symptoms were getting worse and cerebeller kitties do not get worse, they pretty much stay the same. Over the past month or two she has alot of trouble with her back legs and pretty much pulls them around with her. She does not have the typical tremors that a cerebellar kitty has. I found a vet who has a cerebellar cat of her own and said she thinks it is something different. We are starting to run tests but was curious if anyone had any insite into what this could be? The following is a list of symptoms: - Cannot walk well. Has no or little muscle control in back legs - progressively getting worse - Front legs - second joint is double jointed - Has cataracts in both eyes - Eats well and is playful but has had increased thirst over past few weeks. We are starting with blood tests and will go from there. Thanks
