I have a 5 year old Australian Cattledog or Blue Heeler that is the love of my life.  She is loving, attentive but she was breed to heel.  She heels not only the horses(which I don't want her to do) but that's really supose to be her job. She heels the vaccum cleaner, the broom, the feather duster, the weed eater (running) the rake that lawn mover and me.  I have to put her in the house to walk to the barn to feed the horses because she will nip at my heels the whole way but most importantly I don;t want her chasing the horse into the stalls and her get kick. Is there anyone that has any advice is working this problem out?

Your Reply: Do you discipline the dog when she heels you?

my blue heeler is a year old, I know just what you mean.  He likes to heel my 2 year old granddaugher and my 2 cats as well as the rest of us, and nothing seems to get him to stop if you find a solution please let me know.  I know he is still a puppy but he can be so distructive and all the displine I try just makes him want to do it more

ziggy love to tear up  my shrubs, digg holes, play with the baby who is 2, and torment the cats, lets not forget he also loves to tear up his toys, beds and spill his food everywhere when ever the baby lets it stay down
