Let me introduce myself and my big furry kids! My name is Ruth and i am a clinical pharmacist in  Kentucky. I fell in love with Irish Wolfhounds when i meet some at a local Irish Fest 5 years ago. Today i am owned by three big beauties, "Brendhan" our 187 pound boy, "Brigid" our 137 pound girl and "Doolin" (call name dammit doolie!) our 14 month old very big wolfie puppy who weighs 167 pounds and is still growing! We love our big kids and do agility, obediance and conformation events with them. We are hoping for our first litter this November 2007 between our red wheaten girl "Brigid" and our handsome cream boy "Doolin". Would love to meet other Wolfhound people! Please stop by and visit our website at www.largepaws.com

I have just joined this group, and have loved IW's since I first saw a picture in a book. Have also met them at Irish Festivals (in Dublin, Ohio and Indianapolis, IN) One finally found me, about 4 1/2 years ago, and made me the happiest person in the world. Last fall she developed a limp. In January, she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. We helped her across the Rainbow Bridge on March 12.

My house is so empty (even with another mixed breed dog and 2 cats.)

How did your litter turn out? Do you have a puppy still available? Maybe a male?
