I wanted to know what to do about my Yorkie...(almost a year old). She just hates to take walks. When we do walk her we walk her with her two sisters and she just doesn't want to budge. We almost have to drag her...she is so determined not to walk. What would be her problem? Is it the lease or something else. She loves to go out in our fenced in yard. A few weeks ago she was scared to do that. Now she is the first one out. What would she be afraid of?  Thanks.

I usually find when a small dog doesn't want to walk outside it's normal perimeter, it's because of its fear of the unknown.  A lot of times it is a lack of courage.  A small dog needs lots of socialization when they are young.  This means taking it places and introducing the dog to new sounds, sights and people as well as other friendly dogs.  As to what to do now.. you might try carrying the dog a block away from your house and walking the dog back to the house with lots of praise.   You can also walk her to a point ten feet from your house and give her a great treat with praise.  Then walk her back to the house with praise.  For building courage.. you might want to enroll her in a professional dog training group where the trainer has had experience with small dogs and their problems.  I hope this helps...Smile
