My wife was recently contacted by a telemarketer for Pets Unlimited offering to set up an account for her. He took all of her financial information and set up the account in her name. Then he gave her an username and password. Moments later she was called back by a "supervisor" saying her charge didn't go through and they wanted another type of payment, my wife said she didn't feel comfortable giving them additional information and wanted to check her bank account first. My wife then called me and I checked our account and we had been charged for the subscription. Since then when we tried to login to the site we found out we were given the wrong username and password. I had to find the username by navigating the site for our add, which listed the wrong dogs and the wrong price. She has since tried to contact Pets Unlimited and we have received nothing but an automated response stating the ticket has been placed, and the live support is always "offline". I was wondering if any one else has heard of problems like this or ever actually been contacted by customer support. I'm very angry that I am paying for a service I have no access to. Does anyone have any suggestions on where we should go from here?

I've not had the experience the first poster had but have had the same as the second. After recieving tons of notifications of replies I finally paid their fee, which I think is high, now I get NONE. I'm very unhappy, and wondering if it's some kind of scam. If they are sending out fake notifications wouldn't that be illegal???? I did have 15 emails in my mail box when I joined but so far have not heard from any of those people after writing to them - were they even real? Sure make you wonder.

I have had simular things happen. I posted a trial ad on this site about 6 months to a year ago and kept getting emails saying that people were interested in my puppies. In the mean time, my boyfriend was getting calls from someone claiming to be from Pets Unlimited. He has asked them several times to not call him. They have even called as early as 7am. Well, they continued to call and I continued to get emails from them, saying the same thing but, of course, I couldn't view any of the messages on the website. So, I tried several times to upgrade so that I could see the messages but, it would not accept my credit card. Several phone calls and emails later, I went online and tried to cancel my listing. It would not allow me to. So, with every email that came to me from them, I sent it right back to them, telling them to cancel my account. Finally about 2 weeks later, I decided to go back on the site and try to subscribe again. This time I used a different credit card and it worked that time. So, I finally got to view the 92 messages that were there waiting. My boyfriend responded to several of the most recent ones and has gotten very few responses back. They are still calling, asking him to join and he has told them that we already have so, now, they are trying to get him to upgrade even more. WHY??? Just 3 days ago, they sent me an email saying that they were honoring my request to cancel my account and I had no access to it anymore. Why now? Two weeks after I had upgraded? They said that they refunded my money but, after reading these posts, I think I need to check my bank account because I'm not sure if they did. So, anyway, I requested access again since I had just updated my listings and I potentially had more people contacting me. I contacted them again to regain access and I upgraded again. This time, it wouldn't take the credit card that I recently used but, it did take the one that it wouldn't take before. I'm confused!!! They are lacking quite a bit in the intelligent customer service area. I guess I need to keep checking both credit card accounts to make sure that they did give me a refund and that they are not taking out more than they are supposed to. Hmmmm....

So is there site I bet your wife got all excited about the computer generated responses she got. And that's all they are you show some interest and there site starts sending computer generated response so you fall for it hook line and sinker. BEWARE

Everybody is talking about paying them money to join for a membership. I have never spent a dime on this site. They have never called me or email me about a membership. I have been with them over a year and have not paid nothing. I have been getting them automatic emails and I just don't answer them. The emails I do get that is asking about a certain puppy I do answer. I had no idea people was paying to use this site. I can answer emails, talk on the forms, put ads up and it has not cost me nothing. I do sometimes have problems login in.

I was finally contacted about my account and it was canceled, or downgraded to a free membership. The refund I requested was never mentioned and once we canceled the pay service we got numerous emails saying we had people looking at our puppies, asking us to upgrade our account to view them This site is a fraud. I'm glad to see that my wife was not the only person they scammed. Another thing is they canceled my account right away even though I had been charged for a full month. The "live support" is a joke as well I have never seen it online. I'm thinking about contacting the attorney general's office if anyone would like to join me please contact me.

I too had the free account for over a year. I constantly got emails saying I had messeges from interested buyers blocked and for me to upgrade my account. I could view the inbox but couldn't read let alone respond to emails. I have no idea how anyone could be doing so with a free account. After hundreds of these emails I finally caved in and upgraded. When I finally got into my inbox I had maybe 20 emails waiting there for me. Not the hundreds like they made it sound like. I wrote to all of them and got one reply. Hardly worth the membership fee the charge. I will be cancelling at the end of my month and removing my profile. Unless someone can convince me this site isn't a scam I will be warning all the breeders I know about it.

I too was contacted by someone claiming to be from Pets unlimited. When the man insisted that he had interested buyers and that I needed to advertise on the website for a fee. I told him that he would have to call me back and give me time to check out the website he became very rude and insisted that he wasn't trying to scam me. He continued to keep calling me insisting he had buyers interested in my puppies. When I asked him how he got my number he stated that they advertise in the local paper where we had placed an ad. I went on the website and noticed it warned not to sign up for an account over the phone so I proceeded to sign up on line. He continued to keep calling me and when I informed him that I had an account and had already charged the fee he asked for my password. I told him that I would not give him that information then he asked for the last 4 digits of my credit card. I was highly upset and told him that I would never give out that type of information. He insisted it wasn't a scam just a promotion and he wanted credit for the membership. Needless to say I informed him that I know better than to give out this information. He keeps calling and I just keep hanging up. At first the number came up unknown, now it comes up one digit short of a full phone number. What type of scam is this? I have never gotten any response to my lab puppies for sale.
