Diabetes Management By Best Pet Rx

Diabetes in pets is somewhat common. Pets with diabetes may require frequent injections of insulin, oral diabetes medications or both. Pet insulin is usually different that that used in people, however lack of options may cause veterinarians to choose human insulin for your pet. Dosing is also different as well. Your pet may require frequent blood monitoring to determine the correct dose of their insulin. If your pet is on other medications, they may make it difficult to maintain your pet's blood sugar, should that be the case, you may want to speak with one of our compounding pharmacists about sugar free medication options.
