Well I've had many dogs growing up,we all have our favorite.Mine was Casey,german sheapard rottie mix.Not a fancy expensive breed that I paid thousands of dollars for.No...she was a rescue pup(like all my dogs)her mother had a litter on the cold streets of Newburgh ny.5 puppies died from the cold,only 3 lived ,she was one of them.She was the most obiedient,smartest,most loyal and beautiful dog I ever owned.I always joked she was human because she understood everything I said!Well,sadly I only had her in my life for 4 short years.One day she went out back to do her buisness and walked in stumbled to floor and couldn't get up without falling.It was like she was drunk.I quickly got her off to the vet.1 week later,$1,100 later,they said she had a stroke,she never improved.I brought her home and had to have her put to sleep....Christmas Eve.the sadest Christmas.The pain we feel when losing a beloved FAMILY MEMBER is something not everyone understands til you been there and love them like a family member.
