life in a kennel

life in a kennel sure is not dull.  today we had a puppy escape a cage during the night.  fournd her this morning.  she would not eat or nurse.  she was lathargic as well.  took me all day of slowly force feeding her warm goats milk until she finally started nursing from her mommy.

the next event one of the older huskies decided to try and escape the kennels outside and got her collar hung up on the fence.  she twisted so much that we had to cut the collar off and attend to the raw skin below it but thank god she did not cut the neck.  she is now inised in a very large cage resting.

we have a total of ten adult dogs and ten puppies.  the last of the puppies was born early yesterday morning.  a beeutiful little girl.  yes a litter of one which was a disappointment.

My really problem now is that no one is buying the puppies.  it seems that i am expected to give them away or something.  as with anyone who is trying to run a loving and compassionate kennel I spend a lot of money -- which I am out of right now-- caring and feeding these dogs.  I can not afford losses.
