I am searching for an animal, why should I complete my matches in my profile?

Petsunlimited.com is the World's Most Complete Pet Marketplace, bringing people together to find the animal/pet they are interested in acquiring. By completing your animal preferences below, you allow the PetsUnlimited proprietary two-way matching system to help you find the animal you are searching for. When you specify an animal type and breed, your search will be run against our system to see if there is a match. If there is, you will be notified immediately and you will be listed as someone who is in search of that particular type of animal. Breeders and adoption agencies can then search through the system and email you with more information.

To read your e-mail:

What if I forget my username and password?

You can retrieve your password by having it sent to you via email. Simply click the Forgot Password link on any login page and follow the instructions.

A pet classified listing on PetsUnlimited.com displays asd for animals for sale or adoption. These listings includes pictures and videos of animals.

What is a BLOG?

A blog is place where you can post your own journal, discussing anything and everything about pets and animals. Upload pictures of your pet(s) at their finest moments, discuss pet health issues, or whatever comes to mind. You can create your blog from My Account.

How do I create a veterinary appointment reminder?

Click on My Account. You will then see Edit Pet Alerts under your profile options. Click on Edit Pet Alerts. You can then create a custom reminder that will be sent to your email inbox or your cell phone. Enter the title of your reminder, enter the time in Eastern Standard Time, and then click on add reminder.

I have received a message stating that another user on PetsUnlimited attempted to contact me, how do I access their message?

Accessing your messages is easy. After logging in, click on the My Account link at the top of the page, then click on the Inbox link. Depending upon the type of response received, you may need to activate your membership. PetsUnlimited charges a nominal fee in order to continue bringing you new and useful services and access to the wide variety of services currently offered.

To set a photo as your profile pic:

You must be a member of a group to set up a pet meetup. To join a group, visit the Pet Groups section of our site. To start a pet group, click on My Account and then the Groups tab.

I wish to unsubscribe from your mailing list. How do I do this?

PetsUnlimited.com has millions of active members, contacting other members, responding to listings, and more. When a member responds to your listing, your animal search, or just general contact from another member, a new message notification will be sent to your email inbox. You can control these emails by adjusting your email preference settings within your account profile.

To do so:

Click My Account
Click Profile tab.
Click Account Information on the left menu.
Set "Recieve Notifications from Petsunlimited" to no.

Do I get a refund if I cancel my membership?

We do not give refunds once your membership renews. The purchase price includes access to the best pet related services and content on the web, and if you are an advertiser, exposure to millions of prospective buyers who visit Petsunlimited.com. In addition, we allow you to modify your account at any time, free of charge. Please note that any billing for paid services that has occurred prior to any cancellation date is non-refundable per the terms of service of PetsUnlimited.com which you agreed to when registering. The date and time of your cancellation is logged and we are able to provide this information to your credit card company for verification upon request. Fraudulently indicating that you have canceled your account when you have not is a violation of these terms of service. I am searching for a specific breed or breeder but none are listed in the Pet Classifieds listings. Am I out of luck?

No, you are not out of luck. PetsUnlimited has over 100,000 breeders, and even if a specific breeder does not have a breeder listing or classified ad currently online, they can still attempt to contact you by using the two-way matching system. This is why it is important for you to complete your animal preferences, to ensure easy communication between both buyers and sellers.

Click Matches & Favorites.
Follow the instructions to set up an automatch.

I am a breeder. How do I list my animals for sale?

To advertise your pet for sale:

Click My Account
Click Listings
Click the Breeder Listings tab.
Add your listing there.

I want to be notified when a new listing is placed for a specific type of animal. Is this possible?

Currently, there are no methods for automatic notification.

However, you can set up auto-matches under My Accounts > Matches & Favorites. You can run these matches daily and recieve notifications when a matching listing is placed.

How do I respond to messages I have received?

If you have an active membership, you can read and reply to messages directly from the message center within the My Account section of your profile.

Click My Account.
Click Inbox.
Click the message you wish to reply to.
Click reply.
As always, your email address is protected for your privacy. We recommend keeping personal information private such as your email address, phone number, and name.

How do I cancel my subscription?

To cancel your subscription:

Click on the My Account link at the top of the homepage.
Log into your account. If you forgot your login information, click the Forgot Password Link.
You will see the My Subscriptions Tab. Click on this link and you will see a left menu that shows your charge history as well as a cancellation link.
Follow the instructions on the cancel account link.
If you do not see your account on this page, contact support by clicking on the Support link at the top of the page.

How do buyers contact me?

Buyers can respond to your listing through the respond to this listing link located within your listing. Your personal information will always be kept confidential unless you choose to provide this information. You can access your messages through your Inbox under the Private Messages area within My Account.

How do I activate my account?

Petsunlimited.com has been around since 1997 for one simple reason. We charge for our ads. Advertising revenues, as most webmasters will tell you, are just not what they used to be 5-10 years ago. We need to charge for our listings to stay in business.

That being said, we consistently provide success to our advertisers and continue to bring new and innovative services to our members. Petsunlimited.com attracts millions of prospective buyers and there are costs associated in doing so. Petsunlimited.com advertises in print, on the internet, on the radio, and soon on TV. We want to continue to bring you quality results, however as with any business we can't do so for free.

We invest much of our listing revenue in Google and other advertising campaigns to drive traffic to our site, which means more exposure for you!

What is a pet match or an automatch?

A pet match or an auto match is a user initiated search that connects members looking for a certain breed with other members who either sell that breed or have that breed available for adoption (and visa versa). These searches are initiated after initial registration or under "MATCHES & FAVORITES" tab in My Account.

To run a match, follow the instructions on that page. Then process each search. The system will find matches up to 500 miles from your area, but will try to locate the closest possible member to you.

How do I create a medication reminder to ensure I give my pet their medication on time?

Click on the Sign Up link at the top of the PetsUnlimited.com homepage to create your FREE account. You will fill out a few short questions about yourself and that’s it. What happens when I pay?

When you agree to purchase an ad or service on Petsunlimited.com, we charge your credit card at the agreed upon price. Your service will be activated immediately upon making payment.

I have deleted my messages, can I get them back?

Unfortunately not. Once you delete a message, it is deleted permanently. When deleting messages, you will be prompted to confirm your action that you are about to delete your messages, and do you want to continue.
